Planning your hire
Campervan rental questions
How old do I need to be to hire a Vibe campervan?
Drivers must be at least 21 years old to hire the Montana or Escapade, and at least 25 years old to hire the Aurora or Enigma. All drivers must hold a full, valid driver licence. If your licence is not in English, you will also need an approved translation or International Driving Permit.
Are unlimited kilometres included?
Yes. Unlimited kilometres are included, so you can explore New Zealand without a daily distance limit.
Can I freedom camp in a Vibe campervan?
Our campervans are self-contained. You must still follow local council rules and use designated areas where freedom camping is permitted.
Are pets allowed?
Dogs are welcome in designated pet-friendly vehicles by prior arrangement. The fee is $299 per hire and includes normal post-hire pet cleaning. Excessive hair, odour, staining or damage is charged separately.
What bond and cover options are available?
The cover options, daily cost, bond and damage excess available for your hire are shown in the booking system and confirmed before payment. They are subject to the applicable rental agreement and insurer policy.
