Booking and payment

How do I confirm a booking?

Search your dates, select an available campervan and follow the booking process. A 20% deposit confirms the booking, with the remaining 80% due 30 days before pickup unless your confirmed booking states otherwise.

What is the minimum hire?

The usual minimum hire is seven days. Queenstown remote-depot hires generally have a ten-day minimum and a relocation charge where displayed and accepted.

Can I change or extend my booking?

Contact Vibe before your confirmed collection or return time. Changes depend on vehicle availability and any applicable price or relocation difference.

Drivers, collection and travel

How old must the driver be?

Drivers must be at least 21 for Montana or Escapade, and at least 25 for Aurora or Enigma. Every driver needs a full valid licence and an approved translation or International Driving Permit when the licence is not in English.

Where do I collect the campervan?

The Christchurch depot is at 31a Sheffield Crescent, Burnside, near Christchurch Airport. The office is open 8:30am–4:30pm and confirmed pickups and returns are available until 4:15pm.

Are unlimited kilometres included?

Yes. Unlimited kilometres are included, subject to the permitted-use and road conditions in the rental agreement.

Can I drive on gravel roads?

Sealed roads and well-maintained gravel roads are allowed, subject to conditions and official restrictions. Beaches, off-road routes, unsafe tracks and specifically excluded roads are not permitted.

Campervan facilities and camping

Are the campervans self-contained?

Yes. Vibe campervans are certified to the current green-warrant requirements. Certification does not override local council, DOC or landowner restrictions.

Which campervan has a shower?

Aurora has a private onboard shower and toilet. The other models have fixed toilet facilities without an internal shower.

Can I freedom camp anywhere?

No. Use only places where freedom camping is permitted and follow signs, bylaws, DOC notices and campsite rules. Check current official information before relying on a location.

Families, pets and support

Can I hire a child seat?

Child seats are available for the Enigma only through Baby On The Move Christchurch North. Customers book and pay the provider directly so a qualified technician can help select and fit the restraint.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are welcome in designated vehicles by prior arrangement. The dog fee is $299 per hire; excessive hair, odour, staining or damage is additional.

What roadside help is included?

24/7 roadside assistance is included. Contact Vibe promptly if a warning light, tyre issue, breakdown or other safety concern occurs.

What bond and damage cover apply?

Choose Risk Taker at $0 per day with $6,000 damage liability and a $5,000 bond; General Cover at $30 per day with $3,000 liability and a $2,500 bond; or Premium Cover at $50 per day with $350 liability and no bond. Liability applies per covered incident and exclusions still apply.

These answers are a practical overview. Your confirmed booking and the rental terms control. You can also compare the damage liability options and read the plain-language rental policy.
